“You don’t know until you know.” ― Cynthia Hand
This quote really hits home for me as I do more research on the human body but ohmygoodness! it is so frustrating how convoluted the information can be. The internet is also filled with formulas to lose weight, get stronger, get faster, and get leaner that contradicts itself. It’s so freaking overwhelming and often full of mixed reviews and inconsistent information. Where the heck do you even look for trusted info?
Personally, I do not trust ANYTHING unless there is scientific evidence to support the information that is evidence based. Here are some common misconceptions about exercise and diet:
😮Too loose weight you need to eat 1200 calories
😮Weight training makes you bulky
😮Exercising in a fasted state maximizes fat burn and weight loss
😮Low carb diets are best for weight loss
But here is what science ACTUALLY agrees with:
🔥You need calories! Like WAY more than 1200. Calories are your ENERGY and without them you cannot concentrate, recreate or properly perform normal bodily functions.
🔥Weigh training makes you lean and strong and less prone to injury.
🔥Women in particular should not exercise in a fasted state and should in fact eat before and after exercise, and in some cases during exercise!
🔥Carbs are the meaning to life. You know it’s true, don’t try to argue that! 😂🤣
If this really speaks to you, drop me a message to chat more! I REALLY love science and bodies and helping others learn more too! ❤️
